Episode One: The Nightmare Begins

The pilot episode begins with all Irkens assembling on Planet Conventia (a planet taken over by the Almighty Tallest), to attend the Great Assigning.  

All Irkens have assembled to hear about Impending Doom 2, which is the Almighty Tallest scheme for Universal Domination.  The Almighty Tallest (Red and Purple...there's a story to why there is two Almighty Tallest, when there is really only supposed to be one...),hand out the assignments to the Irkens by giving out the best to the tallest members of the society.  As the Great Assigning begins to come to an end, a lone voice is heard among the crowd, a voice that grows closer to the stage that the Almighty Tallest are standing on.  We then see Zim clamor up on to the stage, franticly trying to explain that he didn't get an invitation to the Great Assigning (the true reason is that he was never sent one).

At this point, the Almighty Tallest decide to give Zim a 'secret mission', just so they can rid themselves of him. We also discover that Zim kinda screwed up during Impending Doom 1. He got so excited that he started destroying his own planet which explains why the Tallest don't like him very much. He was banished to Food Courtia for this, but he came back when he heard about the Great Assigning. Anyways...the story moves on to show all the Irkens with missions getting assigned S.I.Rs (Standard Information Retrieval Units). When Zim's turn to receive one arrives, the Almighty Tallest quickly throw some trash together and tell Zim that it is a "secret design, for his secret mission" S.I.R., called G.I.R.  Now Zim and G.I.R zoom off to Earth, while G.I.R. is singing the Doom Song, over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.

Once Zim and G.I.R. land on Earth, Zim quickly constructs a house and disguise as G.I.R. admires squirrels. Once Zim is done, he decides to find out what is the best method of learning about this new and strange planet Earth.  This is when Zim discovers Skool, where he meets Dib.  At first sight Dib is convinced that Zim is an alien and tries to warn his fellow classmates about Zim's true identity and mission.  Dib points out Zims green skin and the fact that he has no ears.  When Dib confronts him about this unhumanlike attributes, Zim claims he has a horrible skin condition.  Once Zim says this all the other Skool kids become angry at Dib for teasing 'the little green kid with a skin condition'. Once Skool is over, Dib follows Zim home and tries to capture him with alien handcuffs, but G.I.R. (surprisingly) saves Zim and takes him home.  Zim than reports his finding to the Almighty Tallest, who are surprised he is even alive.  This concludes the first episode of INVADER ZIM!!
